In keeping with our committment to provide the highest quality and most efficient emergency response to our community, the Shepherdstown Fire Department offers a Live-In Program that provides Live-In Participants with free and reasonable living accommodations and many of the 'comforts of home' in return for responding on emergency calls.
The Live-In Quarters offer furnished semi-private rooms, a common kitchen, baths, and laundry facility in a restricted access area of the building. Cable TV, local telephone service, and high speed internet are also provided.
To make application to participate in the program, applicants must be 18 years of age and WV certified to the Fire Fighter I or EMT-B level and have certification in CPR and First Aid or higher.
For more information about the Live In Program, or to apply, contact us.
